GMC Terrain Oil Life Light Reset 2011-2017
1.Turn ignition to ON position without starting the vehicle.
2.Press MENU button to display VEHICLE INFORMATION menu on the DIC.
3.Press UP or DOWN arrow button until REMAINING OIL LIFE is display on the DIC.
4.Next press and hold SET/CLR button until 100% OIL LIFE is displayed on the DIC.
5.Once the reset is completed turn the key to OFF/LOCK position.
Reset Oil Life GMC Terrain 2018-2023
1.Turn ignition ON without starting the vehicle.
2.Press right arrow button and scroll to VEHICLE on the DIC screen.
3.Next press down arrow button until REMAINING OIL XX% comes on the DIC screen.
4.Once on remaining oil screen press and hold CHECK button. “ARE YOU SURE THAT YOU WANT TO RESET” comes on the vehicle DIC screen.
5.Scroll to YES and press CHECK button.
6.REMAINING OIL LIFE 100% comes on the DIC screen when reset is completed.

GMC Terrain 2.4L L4 Engine requires approximately 5.0 quarts (4.7 liters) of 5W-30 grade oil when engine oil and oil filter changed.
Terrain 3.0L V6 Engine requires approximately 6.0 quarts (5.7 liters) of 5W-30 grade oil when engine oil and oil filter changed.
GMC Terrain 3.6L V6 Engine requires approximately 6.0 quarts (5.7 liters) of 5W-30 grade oil when engine oil and oil filter changed.

GMC Terrain 1.5L L4 AWD Engine requires approximately 5.3 quarts (5.0 liters) of 5W-30 grade oil when engine oil and oil filter changed.
GMC Terrain 1.5L L4 FWD Engine requires approximately 4.2 quarts (4.0 liters) of 0W-20 grade oil when engine oil and oil filter changed.
Terrain 1.6L L4 Diesel Engine requires approximately 5.3 quarts (5.0 liters) of 5W-30 grade oil when engine oil and oil filter changed.
