Chevrolet Volt Oil Life Reset 2011-2016

1.Turn ignition ON without starting your Chevrolet Volt.

2.Turn or rotate the SELECT button until XX% REMAING OIL LIFE comes on the driver information control or DIC menu.

3.Press SELECT button to start the oil reset procedure.

4.Driver information control menu or DIC will display ARE YOU SURE THAT YOU WANT TO RESET ?

5.Use the SELECT button to choose YES.

6.DIC menu will display RESET OIL LIFE for few seconds and then 100% OIL LIFE will be displayed when oil life is successfully reset.

Oil Life Reset Chevrolet Volt 2017-2019

1.Turn ignition ON and press CHECK button on the steering wheel to display TRIP on DIC menu.

2.Press up down arrow button on steering wheel until OIL LIFE XX% display on DIC menu.

3.Next press and hold CHECK button until OIL LIFE 100% display on DIC menu.

2011-2015 Chevrolet Volt Engine Oil Capacity And Oil Grade

Chevrolet Volt 1.4L L4 engine requires approximately 3.7 quarts (3.5 liters) of 5W-30 grade oil when engine oil and oil filter changed.

2016-2019 Chevrolet Volt Engine Oil Capacity And Oil Grade

Chevrolet Volt 1.5L L4 engine requires approximately 4.2 quarts (4.0 liters) of 5W-20 or 0W-20 grade oil when engine oil and oil filter changed.
