How To Reset Oil Chevrolet SS: Quick and easy tutorial on how to reset oil life on Chevrolet SS 2014 2015 2016 2017. If reset is not done the oil monitoring system is unable to track correctly when next oil change is due.

Chevrolet SS Oil Reset 2014-2017

1.Press engine Start/Stop button to turn ON your Chevrolet SS without starting the engine.

2.Press MENU button on the turn signal lever to open MENU option on instrument cluster display.

3.Next scroll using the up-down thumbwheel on the turn signal lever until REMAINING OIL LIFE XX% comes on instrument cluster display.

4.Once on OIL LIFE press and hold SET/CLR button on the turn signal lever.

5.Instrument cluster displays “ARE YOU SURE THAT YOU WANT TO RESET” use up-down thumbwheel to select YES.

6.Next press and hold SET/CLR button to reset REMAINING OIL LIFE to 100%.

Chevrolet SS 6.2L V8 Engine requires approximately 8.0 quarts (7.6 liters) of 5W-30 grade oil when engine oil and oil filter changed.
