How To Reset Jeep Grand Cherokee Oil Light 2016-2021

Jeep Grand Cherokee Oil Reset:Quick and easy tutorial on how to reset oil change required light on Jeep Grand Cherokee 2016 2017 2018 2019 2020 2021.If reset is not done oil monitoring system is unable to detect properly when next oil change is due.Follow the procedure given below after every oil change to reset oil monitoring system.

2016-2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee Oil Change Reset

1.PRESS Engine Start/Stop Button and place Ignition to “ON” position.

2.Ignition “ON” position Engine “OFF”.

3.Fully depress acceleletor pedal slowly “THREE” times within “TEN” seconds.

4.Next push and release the Start/Stop button to turn Ignition “OFF”.

You can also reset oil change light by following secondary method given below.

1.PRESS Engine Start /Stop button two times to turn ignition “ON”.

2.Scroll down using “UP” “DOWN” arrow button in steering wheel untill “VEHICLE INFO” appear in instrument cluster.

3.Now PRESS “LEFT” “RIGHT” arrow in steering wheel untill “OIL LIFE” appear in instrument cluster.

4.Next PRESS and HOLD “OK” button on steering wheel untill “OIL LIFE” reset to 100%.

If Oil Change Required still illuminate when you start the vehicle the oil monitoring system did not reset.Repeat the procedure once again by following each steps correctly.

2016-2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee Engine Oil Capacity And Oil Grade

3.6L Engine – Approximately 5.6 liters (6 quarts) of 0W-20 grade oil when engine oil and oil filter changed.

5.7L Engine – Approximately 6.6 liters (7 quarts) of 5W-20 grade oil when engine oil and oil filter changed.
