Honda P0154-Air/Fuel Ratio Sensor 1 Heater System Malfunction

Honda P0154 Air/Fuel Ratio Sensor Bank 2 Sensor 1 Heater System Malfunction

Code P0154 Honda is DTC code indicates a malfunction in oxygen sensor circuit bank 2 sensor 1. This oxygen sensor is located on side of the engine with second cylinder. It is in charge for measuring the oxygen content in the exhaust gas.

Fault Location-Air/Fuel Ratio Sensor Bank 2 Sensor 1

Possible Causes Code P0154 Honda

1.Failed oxygen sensor on bank 2 sensor 1 providing incorrect reading or no reading to ECM.

2.Damaged, corroded or disconnected wiring or connector of oxygen sensor circuit causing inaccurate reading or lack of signal.

3.Malfunctioning engine control module preventing oxygen sensor from functioning properly or produce incorrect reading.

4.Leaks in exhaust system can affect oxygen sensor capability to measure oxygen content in exhaust gas and giving inaccurate reading.

5.Clogged fuel injector or malfunctioning fuel pressure regulator can cause incorrect air/fuel ratio leading to abnormal oxygen sensor reading.

6.Failed or failing catalytic converter can cause oxygen sensor to give inaccurate reading.

Honda P0154 DTC Code Possible Symptoms

1.Abnormal oxygen sensor reading can cause engine to run too rich or too lean leading to decreased fuel efficiency.

2.Malfunctioning oxygen sensor can affect air/fuel ratio leading to poorly running engine resulting hesitation, rough idling or lack of power in engine.

3.Malfunctioning oxygen sensor can lead to fail emissions test of the vehicle.

4.Smell of unburned gasoline from exhaust system.

5.Engine check light illuminates on dashboard is most common symptoms of p0154.
