How To Reset GMC Acadia Oil Life : Quick and easy tutorial on how to reset oil change light on GMC Acadia 2006 2007 2008 2009 2010 2011 2012 2013.If reset is not done the oil monitoring system is unable to track when next engine oil change is due. Follow the procedure given below after every oil change.
Change Engine Oil Soon Light Reset GMC Acadia 2006-2007
1.Turn Ignition to ON position without starting the engine.
2.Fully press and release gas or accelerator pedal THREE time within five seconds.
3.Next turn ignition to OFF position.
How To Reset Oil Life On GMC Acadia 2008-2013
1.Turn Ignition ON without starting the engine.
2.Press TRIP ODOMETER RESET button on instrument cluster until OIL LIFE PERCENTAGE appear on screen.
3.Next press and hold TRIP ODOMETER RESET button until 100% OIL LIFE REMAINING appear on screen.
4.Turn Ignition OFF and after few seconds start the vehicle.
If CHANGE ENGINE OIL SOON still appear when you start the vehicle, oil life system has not reset. Repeat the procedure by following each step correctly.
Vehicle With DRIVER INFORMATION CENTER (DIC) button
1.Turn Ignition to ON/RUN position while engine is OFF.
2.Press vehicle information button until OIL LIFE REMAINING appear in instrument cluster screen.
3.Next press and hold SET button until 100% OIL LIFE REMAINING is displayed in instrument cluster screen and you hear THREE chimes sound.
4.CHANGE ENGINE OIL SOON goes OFF.
5.Next turn the Ignition to OFF position.

3.6L Engine – Approximately 5.5 quarts (5.2 liters) of 5W-30 grade oil when engine oil and oil filter changed.
