2004-2013 BMW 1 Series Oil Inspection Light Reset
Engine oil reset procedure for BMW 1-Series E81/E82/E87/E88
1.Turn ignition ON.Ignition on engine OFF.
2.Press and hold TRIP reset button until service reset menu appear in instrument cluster display.
3.Slide UP DOWN arrow on stalk until OIL CAN ICON appear in instrument cluster display.
4.Now press BC button on stalk until RESET appear in instrument cluster display.
5.Next press and hold BC button to confirm.
2011-2018 BMW 1 Series Service Light Reset
Engine oil reset procedure for BMW 1-Series F20/F21
1.Press Engine Start/Stop button one time.
2.Press and hold TRIP reset button left corner of instrument cluster for 10 seconds.
3.Service reset will display in instrument cluster screen.
4.Press TRIP button until OIL CAN ICON with RESET POSSIBLE appear in instrument cluster display.
5.Now press and hold TRIP reset button PERFORM RESET ? appear in instrument cluster display.
6.Press TRIP button again RESET IN PROGRESS appear in instrument cluster display.
7.When reset is completed OIL CAN ICON will turn green.
2019-2021 BMW 1-Series Service Reminder Reset
1.Turn Ignition ON by pressing Engine Start/Stop button three time quickly.
2.Wait for five seconds and press and hold BC button on left lever for 15 to 20 seconds.
3.Service Reset menu appear in instrument cluster display release the BC button.
4.Press BC button to scroll to ENGINE OIL.
5.Once you have reached ENGINE OIL press and hold BC button for few seconds PERFORM RESET ? appear in instrument cluster.
6.Now press and hold BC button for 10 to 15 seconds.
7.When reset is completed ENGINE OIL will turn green.
